FISHING & BOATING NEEDS: Our shop stocks a large range of rods, reels and a basic selection of all your favorite tackle. We also have a large selection of bait including the “Ancient Fishing Secrets” range from Flinders Island, as well as burley.
We have fuel and oil to cater for most of your vehicle and boating needs.
Parking your boat a problem? It won’t be here. There is an area to park your boat and a coin operated HOT WATER boat/car wash.
Need to fillet your catch? No worries. There is a stainless steel cleaning table available for your use.
Caught the one that usually gets away? Weigh your catch on our weigh in station.
ROCK & BEACH FISHING:
Best time? September – May.
Species? Salmon, mullet, bream, flathead, gummy shark, just to name a few.
JETTY FISHING:
Best time? All year round.
Species? Flathead, salmon, mullet, squid, bream, garfish, cod, flounder, school whiting, mackerel leather jacket and snapper.
DEEP SEA FISHING:
Best time? All year.
Species? Trevalla, hapuka, gem fish, blue grenadier, ling etc.
OFFSHORE & REEF FISHING:
Best time? All year.
Species? Stripped trumpeter, morwong, flathead, cod, perch, pike, squid etc.
GAME FISHING:
Best time? December – June.
Species? Albacore, yellow fin, blue fin and stripped tuna. mako shark and marlin.
OTHER FISHING:
Includes crayfish and ablone.
